"GREEN GOBLIN'S ATTACK AT WORLD UNITY FAIR"
I have a question regarding the World Unity Fair sequence in "SPIDER-MAN". In the sequence, Harry Osborn and Mary Jane Watson are on a balcony of the Osborn penthouse, enjoying the World Unity Fair with other members of Oscorp's board of directors.
While Harry and Mary Jane are discussing her choice of wardrobe, they and the board members see the Green Goblin (aka Norman Osborn) approaching them from his glider. In fact, the initial attack is viewed from Osborn's POV. And both Mary Jane and especially Harry are plainly in his sights.
My question is . . . if Osborn saw his son on the balcony with Oscorp's board members, why did he attack anyway? Was he really that crazy that he would endanger his own son?
